” I have certainly spent more time learning since leaving school. The difference is, now it is things I want to learn about, or to further my own skills to directly help myself or my business – and hopefully others too through what I have learnt. “
I knew if I was going to continue then I needed to add it into a part of my day when I was good at routine – first thing in the morning. If I left it until later I would find a host of reasons not to bother.
‘It reminded me of what a good system I have now and how I wouldn’t change. It’s about personal preference, and finding what works for you. What works for you might not work for someone else’.
Plenty of tips and methods to improve your own productivity using technology and simple changes in your day. Well worth a listen.
If your Desire figure is £5000, but your industry only fits £25 per hour, then are you going to be able to work 50 billable hours per week plus admin time and get that number of clients? Does your business model fit the lifestyle you want to achieve?

I have a great way to help improve my skills, that are inspirational, and have a good level of humour to boost an otherwise mundane commute.

However, if it’s a major decision, then take the time to consider things properly. Get the facts (not your assumptions of what might happen) and be in a better position to make the decision. Don’t just sit on it and worry.
As business owners, there is always a list of things to be done – some are large projects, other’s small one-off tasks. Together they can all feel a little overwhelming at times, and when faced with the day ahead, you can end up feeling – ‘So what do I start with?’
There is one over-riding fact – we could do with more money.

It might be a task you ‘think’ is going to take ages. In your mind it is going to take at least half a day – and when are you going to get that much free time to start it!
Perhaps it is something you don’t enjoy doing, so you procrastinate over it for a few days, or even a few weeks.
Maybe it is a task you are not sure you have the skill to do well, or the perfectionist in you assumes it won’t be good enough.
