Focus on your Business Success & Desires

Stop running at full speed on all those thoughts spinning through your head. It is not the best, or swiftest, way to what you want. That comes with a focus of knowing what you want to achieve and the most effective way to do so. The rest is just noise clouding your thoughts.

Focus, Eye, Business Success

“You cannot run at full throttle when applying your mindset to all of the different things running through your head. Focusing is the key to manifesting your desires.” – Stephen Richards

Being a Business Owner you wear so many hats through a day. One minute you are the Sales and Marketing Department, then Production, Copy-writer, PR, Admin, Accountant, Reception, possibly even Tech Support and HR. With so many tasks wanting your attention it is no wonder that sometimes that can feel overwhelming. So how do you Focus on what really needs to get your priority, to enable you to have the things you Desire?

The first thing is to decide what it IS you Desire.

If asked this question the quick answer may be, ‘More Money’ or ‘More Customers’, or perhaps that holy grail of ‘More Time’. So let’s have a quick look at each:

More Money – for what? More money in the business to just keep the current cash-flow afloat, or for expanding the business? Perhaps it is more profit to enable more income for you, to enjoy things outside of work, like a holiday, car, move house – or just to cover the bills. Look at what it is you need the money for, and exactly how much. Get a firm figure as a target for what you need to achieve.

More Customers – any old customers? Or do you need new customers in a different market, or ones buying your premium product or service (you do have a premium level don’t you?). Which of your products or service make you the most profit? Do you need your current customers to repeat buy, or make another product or service available to them so they come back regularly? Look at which option will give you the biggest, and quickest, way to the end goal.

More Time – to do what? Is it just to get the growing mountain of tasks done in your day? Maybe it is to spend more time in your home life, with others, or just by yourself enjoying a moment of calm. Are there things distracting you, like notifications going off throughout the day calling you to your Inbox or social media? It may be the overwhelm of having so many tasks that you just don’t know where to start, so you don’t. Instead you flit around various tasks until the end of the day comes along and you find you didn’t really achieve the things you meant to. Perhaps you are so busy dealing with the day-to-day jobs that fill the day, that you never get around to the things that will actually move yourself and your business forward.

As the quote at the beginning states ‘Focusing is the key to manifesting your desires’. The key to that is about knowing exactly what those desires are, and where to focus your valuable time and energy. Doing the right things at the right time. Not easy, but it can be achieved.

A good place to start is identifying what your Desires are. It is always easiest to achieve if you know what you are aiming for. If you want some help with that there is ‘15 Minutes to Understanding Your Desire’. Download it now and take just 15 minutes to get a better understanding of what it is you truly Desire.

Then look at where you are spending your time and your priorities. How do these compare with the tasks that should be moving you towards your Desire? What adjustments need to be made? Are there some habits you need to change?

Understand where you are now. What are your figures? Which is your most profitable product or service? Who is your most profitable customers. The hard facts, not your assumptions or estimations.

Look for support. Either from those to help keep you accountable and moving towards your goals, or for suppliers or services that can help you achieve more with your time. Who can help you get to your Desire? What skills do you need to learn or buy in?

So, stop running at full speed on all those thoughts spinning through your head. It is not the best, or swiftest, way to what you want. That comes with a focus of knowing what you want to achieve and the most effective way to do so. The rest is just noise clouding your thoughts.

The first step is yours to make – so make it now.
