Last week I got the opportunity to be on Radio. A first for me, and I must say a little out of my comfort zone. May seems to be a month for stepping out of that!
I was on the Channel Radio #MoneyTalk show with Jo Dodds talking about Personal and Business Productivity.
Usually a co-host, Jo got to take the reins with all the bells and buttons to press, so I feel I had the easy job with just the talking. A quick search for some suitable ‘Time’ based music and we were off.
After some introductions to explain more about my background and why I had any reason to talk about business and productivity, we talked about how to do things more effectively and efficiently in your business.
We talk about those 4 Key Personal Figures you need to know to make sure your business can support your personal desires, and how being clear on what you want to achieve will help you make the important decisions now on what you do or don’t want to do in the future.
Next we chat about effective ways to manage your Inbox – in fact we have a few differences on how we do this. Jo made the important point that there are many methods out there to try:
‘It reminded me of what a good system I have now and how I wouldn’t change. It’s about personal preference, and finding what works for you. What works for you might not work for someone else’
Then we cover how Evernote can help both your personal and business organisation with plenty of ideas on how to use this from Recipes to Meeting Notes and Audio files – keeping lots of different types on content in one place.
The show has plenty of tips and methods to improve your own productivity using technology and simple changes in your day. Well worth a listen.
